ZEISS mass technology
When the highest precision is required, coordinate measuring machines are an indispensable tool in industry. Regardless of the measurement requirement - whether it is the rapid acquisition of a surface or precise single-point measurement - thanks to mass technology, a large number of ZEISS sensors can be operated with high precision on the same measuring device and quickly exchanged: Sensors with RDS or a fixed probe system, optical or tactile, passive or active - mass gives you maximum flexibility.
BENEFITS:
- 1 system, 4 technologies & 9 sensors
- Easy probe change in only 3 steps
- No loss of measuring space due to probe change
- Maximum adaptability to your measurement requirements

Variety of Sensors
The different sensors, whether optical or tactile, active or passive, have different benefits and areas of application - but each one stands for the highest precision.
Investment in the future
The mass technology from ZEISS offers advantages for many quality assurance tasks.
Higher measuring reliability
Since the workpiece is measured in one clamping and thus in the same reference coordinate system with different sensors.
Greater flexibility
Users can thus react very quickly to changing measurement tasks.
High level of investment security
If necessary, the coordinate measuring machines can be retrofitted quickly and economically by purchasing additional sensors. Thus, the investment in coordinate measuring machines with mass technology is also worthwhile for those companies that currently have no need for the use of optical sensors.
Lower costs
Because instead of having to invest in several devices and larger footprints, they only need the appropriate sensors to handle all measurement tasks.
More efficient production processes
Since users can measure optically quickly and easily, they can detect possible production problems faster or avoid them. This means they detect, eliminate and thus avoid previously undetected errors in the manufacturing process.
Step by Step to more flexibility
Mounting sensor
Whether with a ZEISS VAST XXT tactile measuring head mounted on a RDS or with a tactile measuring head from the ZEISS VAST XT gold series - because of the dovetail mechanism, it is easy to switch between the sensors. Only one screw needs to be loosened to allow easy exchange between the sensors.
Locking sensor
Whether with a ZEISS VAST XXT tactile measuring head mounted on a RDS or with a tactile measuring head from the ZEISS VAST XT gold series - because of the dovetail mechanism, it is easy to switch between the sensors. Only one screw needs to be loosened to allow easy exchange between the sensors.
Automatic sensor recognition
Each ZEISS sensor is equipped with an ID chip which is automatically recognized by the machine when it is commissioned and is selected in the ZEISS CALYPSO measuring software. This system eliminates operating errors and allows the user to concentrate on the things that really matter - the measuring task.
