CALYPSO Curve

Description/Course contents:

  • Theory of what a free-form profile is, and how CALYPSO calculates this.
  • Various methods to create nominal curves.
  • Measurement methods.
  • Functionality in the CAD window.
  • Alignment Methods.
  • Presentation and exporting of results.
  • Tolerance Management.
  • Evaluation possibilities.

Other information:
The training duration is 3 days.
The course may take place at the ZEISS training centre in Eskilstuna and Olofström, or at the customer.
The course is tailored to a certain extent according to the participants' wishes/needs.
Training materials are provided by ZEISS.
Classroom teaching interspersed with self-study.
Appropriate number of participants is 3-5 people.

Recommended prerequisites:
CALYPSO Basic.
Some practical work experience of  CALYPSO and the ZEISS measuring machine. Metrology.

Recommended for:
Measuring machine users who need to measure free-form profiles and free-form surfaces in an efficient and safe manner.

The objective of the course:
To give the user the knowledge of how to define and measure free-form profiles based on CAD models, bulleted lists or formulas.
