CALYPSO Basic

Description/Course contents:

  • Quick review of the functionality of the measuring machine's functionalities.
  • Measuring probe calibration.
  • Coordinate system and alignments.
  • Fundamental measuring elements (circles, planes, lines, points, etc.).
  • Measurement strategies.
  • Linking elements.
  • Evaluate characteristics (distance, diameter, angle and shape and position).
  • View, save and print the results.
  • Create and run CNC programs.
  • CAD functions.
  • Back-up routines.

Other information:
The training duration is 5 days.
Starts Monday at 12:30pm and ends Friday at 14:30pm
The course may take place at the ZEISS training centre in Eskilstuna and Olofström, or at the customer.
The course is tailored to a certain extent according to the participants' wishes/needs.
Training materials are provided by ZEISS.
Classroom teaching interspersed with self-study.
Appropriate number of participants is 3-5 people.

Recommended prerequisites:
Read and interpret drawings.
Understand geometric structures.
Basic metrology.
PC experienced at a home user level.

Recommended for:
New users without previous coordinate measuring experience.
New measurement technologies within CALYPSO.
Production technologists who are interested in the possibility of systems.

The objective of the course:
The ability to work independently and improve their abilities within the functionalities of CALYPSO.
