Perfectly designed down to the last detail.

Duralyt. This name stands for the entry class of ZEISS and means uncompromising Made in Germany quality – at an excellent price performance ratio. Robust optics and mechanics, 30 mm ring mounting, striking design, long-lasting functional reliability and optimal image quality and light transmission: all these characteristics are united in the six Duralyt models, which offer reliable optics to suit a wide range of different needs. Perfectly designed for rifles in common use, the impressive Duralyt range offers a non-illuminated reticle as well as an illuminated reticle in the 2nd image plane that allows twilight hunting.

Here you find the top features of the Duralyt riflescopes.

Uncompromising & reliable

Uncompromisingly robust and reliable, Duralyt promises the best possible functional reliability even in the most extreme conditions.

Outstanding image quality

Image quality and image brightness are both outstanding. This is primarily due to the modern multi-layer coatings.

Made in Germany

Quality and innovation are in our very nature.

Uncompromising and reliable

Uncompromisingly robust and reliable, Duralyt promises the best possible functional reliability even in the most extreme conditions. During intensive periods of use you can take full advantage of the individual strengths of the Duralyt models - for driven hunts, deerstalking or stand hunting, by day and in the twilight.

Outstanding image quality

Image quality and image brightness are both outstanding. This is due to the modern multi-layer coatings, which ensure a higher level of light transmission. The wide field of view and the safe eye relief are further evidence of a well balanced, secure system.

Made in Germany

Quality and innovation are in our very nature. It is our aim to perfect the experience in the wild. With Made in Germany optics, technology and design, which satisfy the highest requirements and constantly set new standards.

Fine and bright illuminated dot

Minimal target coverage and best visibility - that is the beauty of the fine and bright illuminated dot. And since it is located on the 2nd image plane it maintains its fine definition even during changes in magnification.

Simple push-button brightness regulation

Über zwei griffige gummierte Tipptasten – Plus und Minus – können Sie die Helligkeit sicher und stufenlos regulieren.

Reticle 6

A secure basis that can be universally applied. The reticle 6 appears clear and well defined at any magnification, offers only minimal target coverage and stays constant even during changes in magnification.

Modern design

The design, with its dark grey Eloxal finish, is perfect for use on modern everyday rifles. Eloxal is an environmentally friendly surface finish that offers reliable protection against scratches. The anodised surface also reduces care and maintenance to a minimum.

Superior operation

The modern design of the Duralyt riflescopes looks visually appealing with its dark grey, anodised surface finish. At the same time, the jet black, rubber operating elements ensure the superior operation of all functions.

Secure function even under extreme conditions

Duralyt riflescopes have withstood extreme tests in our laboratories, with greater frequency and severity than they would normally be subjected to during actual use. The result is secure function, which you can rely on in the great outdoors even under the most extreme conditions from -25 to +50° Celsius.

Simple ring mounting

The 30 mm ring mounting system enables the Duralyt riflescopes to be mounted on all rifles in common use. The 30 mm ring mounting system simply offers a wider range of options. It is therefore suitable for virtually all rifles in common use and every type of mounting element.

Lightweight and compact construction

The riflescope body is made from one massive piece of aluminium, making it particularly lightweight and stable. At the same time, the compact construction gives you virtually free rein in your choice of rifle.

You can choose between six Duralyt models.

Duralyt 1.2–5x36

With its low weight and wide field of view, the Duralyt 1.2-5x36 ensures quick and secure target acquisition at close quarters and is therefore ideal for hunting on the move. Its non-illuminated reticle remains constant when changing magnification. Furthermore, its maximum 5x magnification also makes it excellent for use on the driven hunt. The Duralyt 1.2-5x36 is a highly versatile alternative to the red dot sight.

Reticles

Fine reticle in the 2nd image plane

Duralyt riflescopes are available with the non-illuminated reticle 6 and the illuminated reticle 60 for daylight use. In all versions the reticle is on the 2nd image plane. This means that through the entire magnification range you can rely on a constantly well defined reticle and can change the magnification at any time.

Recticle 60

illuminated

The Reticle 60 is lighter and finer in looks than the similar Reticle 40. The posts only cover half the area, leaving double the amount of space between them. This makes it perfect for precision shooting with minimum coverage of the target game. At 12 x magnification and a target coverage of just 0.55 cm at 100 m you keep a good overview without losing sight of the finer details. The illuminated dot is very bright, and can therefore be used for daytime hunting. The dot can be finely adjusted, which makes it ideal for night-time hunting too. The reticle is either in the 1st or 2nd image plane, depending on the riflescope.

Reticle 6

non-illuminated

The non-illuminated reticle 6 lies in the second image plane, remains constant while changing magnification and is universally useable: The reticle is always clearly visible when taking quick shots at low magnification, yet stays very fine and only covers the target minimally at higher magnifications.

Questions & Answers

Pfeil

Why do the Duralyt models cost less than the Victory / Classic models?

The Duralyt devices were developed with optimised costs. This way, the assembly times in the Wetzlar factory in particular were reduced. The devices thus have a more simple construction than our more expensive product lines. The choice of equipment and reticle types is also reduced to a minimum: Two reticles are available, but no rail and no ASV. However, no compromises were made in terms of precision and reliability.

Pfeil

I would like to have ASV / rails / LotuTec®. Is this possible for a Duralyt?

The Duralyt riflescopes have been reduced to the basics: Functionality and robustness.
If you would like to have innovative solutions such as ASV (bullet drop compensation), illumination control or special ballistic reticles, we recommend the riflescopes from the Victory or Classic lines.

Pfeil

With such a good price-performance ratio, surely the Duralyt riflescopes are manufactured in the Far East?

The Duralyt riflescopes are manufactured at Carl Zeiss in Wetzlar – in other words, “Made in Germany”.

Pfeil

Why push-button control?

The push-button control was chosen in order to optimise costs and due to the particular simplicity of the concept. Due to the ergonomic aspects, the more expensive rotating dial solution used for the Classic and Victory lines remains unsurpassed. This offers superior operating comfort in comparison to push-buttons, but means that customers have to become familiar with the basic concept.

Pfeil

What do the abbreviations mean?

Meaning of the abbreviations

FL
Binoculars or spotting scopes with glasses that contain fluoride (FL) for sharper, higher contrast images with significantly reduced chromatic aberrations; Fluoride Lenses; a special, high-quality sub-category of the ED lenses

GA
Previously used to designate Dialyt binoculars with rubber armour

T*
ZEISS T* multi-layer coating for extremely high transmission and low reflex susceptibility

MC
ZEISS multi-layer coating (multi coating)

P / P*
Phase correction coating on the roof prisms, which provide a higher resolution of the finest detail structures. All ZEISS binoculars with roof prisms use this coating

B
Previously used to designate binoculars that can be worn by people who wear glasses.
Now all ZEISS binoculars and spotting scope eyepieces are suitable for people who wear glasses, so the "B" designation is no longer used

S
Binoculars with mechanical image stabilisation

M
Riflescope models with ZEISS mounting rail.

iC
Riflescope with illumination control

ED
Extra low Dispersion = low chromatic aberrations

HD
High Definition. HD is not a type of lens. Instead it describes the result of the ED lenses: very good resolution

HT
High Transmission = lenses by SCHOTT with very good transmission properties.

SF

Smart Focus = Conventional binoculars require the focusing wheel to be turned 2.5 times in order to switch from the close focus to the maximum observation distance. The VICTORY SF only requires the wheel to be turned 1.8 times.
