The flexible classic

The robust Classic Diavari benefits from many years of Carl Zeiss experience. Optical concepts for twilight use and the high-performance Carl Zeiss T* multi-layer coating create ideal conditions for twilight hunting. You can therefore expect a lot from these riflescopes - and the products will fulfil all your expectations. Genuine experts in search of a solution for various hunting applications will find them all in the Classic Diavari. The lenses have variable magnification, which makes them ideally suited to drive hunting as well as long-range shooting. You can choose from a wide range of illuminated and non-illuminated reticles and retrofit the bullet drop compensator. For targeted correction of the bullet drop at long range, all models can be retrofitted with the ASV, whose simple and secure operation has become standard equipment for many hunters. The sum of all these features makes this a flexible classic based on solid experience.

Here you find the top features of the Classic Diavari riflescopes.

Tried & tested optical design

The optical system of the Classic models with their 50 and 56 mm lens diameters delivers bright, detailed images, even in poor light and twilight conditions.

Robust construction

The matt black anodised aluminium housing and the robust mechanics are designed for extremely high shot stability and daily wear and tear.

Versatile reticles

Both the available reticles 40 and 60 make it easy to estimate distances in the conventional way.

Tried and tested optical design

The optical system of the Classic models with their 50 and 56 mm lenses delivers bright, detailed images even in poor light and twilight conditions. The legendary Carl Zeiss T* multi-layer coating provides enough light transmission for you to use the last of the light.

Robust construction

The matt black anodised aluminium housing and the robust mechanics are designed for extremely high shot stability and daily wear and tear. The interior of these models is filled with nitrogen, which makes them resistant to condensation. A real plus in cold, wet weather.

Versatile reticles

Both available illuminated reticles 40 and 60 make it easy to estimate distances in the conventional way. The easy-to-use switch to turn the illumination on and off and for fine intensity regulation is conveniently located on the left-hand side of the lens. This means you can always adjust the brightness of the reticle illumination to suit the light conditions; a useful tool for easy target acquisition when hunting dark game in fading light. Have you forgotten to turn it off? After four hours the illumination switches itself off automatically, so that there is enough power left for the next stand hunting session.

Flexible mounting options

All models in this range are available with the tried and tested ZEISS rail mount or with the 30 mm ring mounting system. This means that there are virtually no hunting rifles that cannot be combined with the ZEISS Classic riflescopes.

You can choose between two Classic Diavari Models.

Classic Diavari 2.5–10x50 T*

This low-light all-rounder combines all capabilities that are essential for deerstalking or twilight stand hunting. Even shooting on the move can be mastered using the lowest magnification levels, so that you can acquire any target quickly. Available with illuminated reticle 60 located in the 1st image plane (with or without rail mount).

Reticles

One illuminated reticle in the 1st image plane is available for the Classic Diavari models.

Recticle 60

illuminated

The Reticle 60 is lighter and finer in looks than the similar Reticle 40. The posts only cover half the area, leaving double the amount of space between them. This makes it perfect for precision shooting with minimum coverage of the target game. At 12 x magnification and a target coverage of just 0.55 cm at 100 m you keep a good overview without losing sight of the finer details. The illuminated dot is very bright, and can therefore be used for daytime hunting. The dot can be finely adjusted, which makes it ideal for night-time hunting too. The reticle is either in the 1st or 2nd image plane, depending on the riflescope.

Questions & Answers

Pfeil

Classic Diatal or Classic Diavari – what is the difference?

The Classic Diatal riflescopes are equipped with a fixed magnification that cannot be adjusted.
The magnification of the Classic Diavari riflescopes is variable. The reticle is in the 1st image plane and magnifies itself.
The illuminated reticles in all the Classic riflescopes are for twilight use.

What do the abbreviations mean?

Meaning of the abbreviations

FL
Binoculars or spotting scopes with glasses that contain fluoride (FL) for sharper, higher contrast images with significantly reduced chromatic aberrations; Fluoride Lenses; a special, high-quality sub-category of the ED lenses

GA
Previously used to designate Dialyt binoculars with rubber armour

T*
ZEISS T* multi-layer coating for extremely high transmission and low reflex susceptibility

MC
ZEISS multi-layer coating (multi coating)

P / P*
Phase correction coating on the roof prisms, which provide a higher resolution of the finest detail structures. All ZEISS binoculars with roof prisms use this coating

B
Previously used to designate binoculars that can be worn by people who wear glasses.
Now all ZEISS binoculars and spotting scope eyepieces are suitable for people who wear glasses, so the "B" designation is no longer used

S
Binoculars with mechanical image stabilisation

M
Riflescope models with ZEISS mounting rail.

iC
Riflescope with illumination control

ED
Extra low Dispersion = low chromatic aberrations

HD
High Definition. HD is not a type of lens. Instead it describes the result of the ED lenses: very good resolution

HT
High Transmission = lenses by SCHOTT with very good transmission properties.

SF

Smart Focus = Conventional binoculars require the focusing wheel to be turned 2.5 times in order to switch from the close focus to the maximum observation distance. The VICTORY SF only requires the wheel to be turned 1.8 times.
